NOVEMBER'S FAVORITES

Oh where did the month of November disappear to? Feels like the just yesterday when the streets were filled with leaves of beautiful color, not the trees just like the streets are so plain awaiting the looming snowfall.
Without much further ado, here are a few cosmetics I have had the pleasure of enjoying:

Still on that red tip :) Dita Von Teese's collaboration with Art Deco has been one that I have enjoyed. I am not a make up junkie, but I love a good red lipstick / lipgloss and Nail lacquer. I was obviously spoilt for choice, I love all the shades of red, which go surprisingly well with my complexion.

I had been seeing I love... products at my perfumerie but never gave it a second thought until I read a review on The Fashion Notebook and decided to give it a try. The smell was a bit overwhelming, but when you get in the shower, all that is diluted and you have a delicious Vanilla ice cream smell. I started using this product in October, it's still 3/4 full and I have somehow managed to kill my craving for vanilla ice cream.

You know you are wearing the right mascara when people constantly ask you if you're wearing false lashes. I always wear smokey eye mascara because sometimes it's hard to find 'Very Black' mascara, anyway, after almost 2 months of use, the difference is AMAZING! wish I had taken a before pic just so I could show you guys. Oh well next time.

The first blog that I religiously used to read was Jolie in NYC - (who remembers that??) The best skin care tip from there was that you won't really know if a product is good for your skin unless you use it over a long perioid of time. Say 6 months. I mean, you can tell immediately when your skin rejects a product. This is a product I will forever use - unless they somehow stop production, in which case I am f****d. I am lucky enough to be good friends with a cosmetician, so she looked at my skin and reccomended theses and oh. my. lawd. forever love.

SEEING RED

When in doubt wear red - Bill Blass

Red happens to be my color of the week.I love the fact that a simple red piece ca brighten up a dull outfit, and since the season of wearing black is nigh, why not go against the norm? Brighten things up a bit? I happen to be indulging in all hues too, just for fun.

You all know by now that the perfect red lip can make a huge difference to your overall look. I posted a picture of Alicia Keys and J. Monae on my Facebook Page in which they were dressed in black and had bright red lips which gave their looks that final oomph.

Just cos bowties are so cute, and is there anything cuter than a red bowtie on a denim top?? The best part about this is both Men and women can do this look. Isn't the studded bowtie to die?

The cuteness of red headbands and agent provacatuer lingirie - need I say more??

aaaah, there was no way, I was going to talk about the color red without involving the leopard print. Am I the only one who thinks this is a tad tricky though? too much red on leo print can easily go from classy to trashy. I'd say moderation is key when mixing the two.

Red Guiseppe Zanotti and YSL heels. Too cute. That's all.

To wrap it up, Chanel Iman on an elephant. This picture kinda makes me excited about my next holiday in the sun. It also spreads some warmth and light, both of which we desperately need.

What colors are you loving this week???

FIRMOO x STYLISH OBSESSIONS

I recently got contacted by Firmoo which is the worlds most popular online eyeglasses store and I was intrigued. I visited their website and was kinda overwhelmed by choice. They have EVERYTHING, and I mean all styles, shapes and sizes of glasses for both men and women.

Bieng a huge fan of non - prescription fashion glasses, I was excited at the prospect and jumped at the oppourtunity. As I was going through the glasses, I came across these cool pair of Harry Potter - esque glasses (Huge HP fan) and I knew I wasn't leaving them behind. The best thing about this website is that I was able to upload a picture of myself and 'try on' the glasses before I made my final desicion, so that was great.

My glasses arrived today... et voila

glasses - Firmoo top - OhMyLove bottoms - qed London

I seriously have zero complaints. I'm kinda surprised, they actually look waaaaay better in person than they did on the website and I thought they looked good there too. They were well packaged. Came in a cool case and the company kept intouch with me, tracking the glasses until they were sure that they arrived safe.

It takes 10 business days from date of shipping to arrival. Mine actually got here faster but because I had given a wrong address (trust my scatter brain) It took 13 days. Which is nothing to complain about.

The best part about this promotion that I want to share with you guys is that Firmoo has a first pair free program here: http://www.firmoo.com/free-glasses.html which allows you to try your first pair of glasses free. All you need to pay for is the shipping. I think it's a great idea, for fashionista's like us who love to rock the nerd glasses, or for you who need prescription glasses or even to give out as gifts for they with relatives and friends. So go ahead and get yourself a pair and let me know your experience.
